WHY:
The simple pleasure of a pattern, structure and the sense of being held together as one piece. It can be pleasing and can relate to the feeling of being whole and complete. We are all structures in a way, trying to stand as tall and straight as we can. But as some might have experienced, the feeling of being dragged down can be a part of life. And the sense of melting can occur. Yet, remember that; with no hooks to hang our baggage on, it won’t be any place for a helping hand to grasp either.

WHAT:
TANGLED is a decorative vase, trying to combine ceramics and thread to make a unique structure and visual aesthetics. The body of the vase can be symbolized as the human, and the glaze to our problems and imperfections. The thread and its pattern is meant as a reminder for what’s keeping us whole and the things in life who help us stand tall.
HOW:
The hard and sterile ceramic surface is given hooks or dots to create a pattern for the thread to run trough. And the glaze is kept white to highlight the thread’s expression. The process is quite time-consuming and is all made by hand, but that also means – made with love.
